WHAT IS DIPLOMA OF REMEDIAL MASSAGE?
Remedial massage is a form of medical treatment used to aid in the treatment and prevention of identifiable medical conditions. Remedial massage treats soft tissues injuries and is used in conjunction with other health professionals in a patient’s treatment plan. It is performed by a qualified remedial massage therapist. Remedial massage therapists are trained longer for underlying conditions, therefore, they can offer professional advice.
Remedial massage uses different techniques to heal a patient, including but not limited to stretching, trigger point therapy, and petrissage movements.
HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage
The course will equip students both theories and practical techniques, covering a range of topics including assessing client information, relaxation massage techniques, human body anatomy and physiology, the management and prevention of injuries, and clinic running practices.
PROSPECT JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Students who complete this course can choose to run their own clinics, open at-home business, work for multi-modality clinics alongside with physios and chiropractors, spas, and hotels.
All students must be at least 18 years of age.
Satisfactory completion of year 12 or equivalent
Overseas students with a language proficiency of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
The course is delivered during daytime from 10a.m to 5p.m. Students can choose to study online, offline or mixed mode.
