Course Overview

Our training equips you with the skills to deliver a luxurious, premium Head Spa and Facial Contouring experience by seamlessly combining therapeutic techniques with holistic wellness.

The treatment includes:

1. Client Consultation & Hair/Scalp Assessment – Learn how to assess the client’s scalp, hair condition, concerns, and treatment goals to customise every session safely and effectively.
2. Opening Ritual – Create a memorable spa experience through aromatherapy, mindful breathing, gentle touch, sound and sensory techniques that help clients transition into deep relaxation – this thoughtful touch sets your service apart from standard head spa treatments.
3. Japanese Head Spa – Perform a luxurious multi-step ritual focused on scalp detox, stress relief, and hair vitality (including warm oil scalp massage & detangling, scalp exfoliation, double shampoo cleansing, hair conditioning treatment mask, steam therapy, and water halo rinsing).
4. Facial Contouring – Integrate relaxing facial massage and Gua Sha contouring techniques, rooted in ancient Eastern beauty traditions, to encourage lymphatic drainage, naturally lift and sculpt facial features, improve circulation, and leave the skin glowing.
5. Neck & Shoulder Massage – Incorporate therapeutic massage techniques to relieve upper body tension, improve circulation, and enhance relaxation – making this more than just a head spa.
6. Express blow dry & Conclusion of treatment

This comprehensive treatment combines consultation, scalp therapy, relaxation massage, facial rejuvenation, and holistic wellness to create a signature spa experience that clients will love and return for.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the treatment can be tailored to suit a variety of clients, business models & adaptable booking lengths, allowing therapists to create anything from an express 45min, standard 60min, to a premium 90min or 2 hour luxury spa experience.

ASSESSMENT & CERTIFICATION

At Le Spa Massage Academy, assessments are conducted towards the end of your training. To receive your 2 certificates, students must competently complete the required assessments, including a short online quiz, a practice log and demonstrating practical techniques (in-person/video/zoom). Our team will review your work and provide feedback to ensure you’re confident and industry-ready.

BLENDED LEARNING SUPPORT

This course includes flexible blended learning options to support your practical development. Students complete their practical training and assessment through a 1-day private practical session at Le Spa Massage Academy, or receive guidance through live Zoom support and video-based assessment.

During the private practical day, you’ll receive hands-on coaching, direct feedback, and access to our professional Japanese Head Spa equipment, products, and treatment tools.

As an added benefit, graduates are welcome to attend future scheduled in-person group classes for this subject free of charge, helping you continue refining your skills and building confidence.
